How our classes are structured

Here you can find what you can expect when you join our sessions. The format is structured and repeatable every week.

We’ve developed a structured and versatile class format based on years of experience, designed to help you get the most out of every session—whether you’re here to improve fitness, learn self-defence, or progress through our grading system.

Each 60-minute class follows a consistent structure, so you always know what to expect and can focus on what matters most to you. We begin with a full-body warm-up and stretching to get you moving safely, followed by group work focused on technique and skill development.

After that, we break into smaller groups where you can choose what you’d like to focus on. Whether that’s working through your syllabus, building fitness and conditioning, or practicing sparring. Our senior instructors lead each group, offering expert guidance and support tailored to your level.

If you’re new to the club, you’ll be welcomed with a personal induction to help you settle in and learn the basics in a safe and supportive way.

You’re free to switch focus during the session too, so you can mix things up and keep your training interesting.
