I get asked the same question quite often when people are enquiring about coming along, and that if they did then would they lose weight?
Now this answer is not quite as simple as they expected, as there are a few factors that are in play here.
As you know, I’m far from an expert in this area, but here is what I do know.
1 – In order to lose weight, you generally must be in a calorie deficit, meaning you must be burning more than consuming most days of the week.
2 – The right choice of foods that your body needs is also super important, and certain foods burn better than others, whereas super fatty foods are generally not so good for you all round and will be harder to burn. This is not to say we shouldn’t be able to treat ourselves now and then, because we should.
3 – Regular exercise is also important, getting those 10k steps per day, taking the stairs instead of the lift, these sorts of things really do help.
4 – Cardio a 2-3 times over week is also super important and where we come in, something to really get that heart rate up and burn those extra calories, and from experience it’s really easy to burn several hundred calories in a good workout with us.
Now all of these things may seem simple enough, and I believe they are all as important as each other in that weight loss journey, and some may disagree with the order that this needs to be done, or that there are other things that help, and there definitely are, I’ve just listed these as what I see as a great step in the right direction.
